Robert Adams Burr
Robert Adams Burr is the president of Quantum Leap Network. He is editor and publisher of the Great Gables Guide quarterly publication and the Great Gables Events weekly e-mail listings of cultural events in Coral Gables . His popular Wine Walk events introduce food and wine enthusiasts to multiple wine tastings at local restaurants. He was a judge in the First International Cane Spirits Competition in 2006 and leads a series of upscale events known as the Gifted Rums series of Tastings in South Florida.
Robert has recently served two years as the president of the Kiwanis Club of Coral Gables and a year as president of the Ponce Development Association. He currently serves as president of the George Merrick Foundation and Vice President of the Coral Gables Citizens' Crime Watch board of directors. Robert represents the seventh generation of a prominent Florida pioneer family and remains active in the Sons of the American Revolution, the Miami Pioneers, the Arch Creek Trust, Greater North Miami Historical Society and Dade Heritage Trust. During the winter and spring seasons, he leads his Redland Riot Fruity Tropical History tour through the South Florida countryside.
Robert has long been involved in new media technologies such as digital audio recording, digital photography and video, and print and online publishing. He and his wife Robin are seasoned scuba divers and former publishers and editors of Fisheye View Scuba Magazine. Both are active in the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. He serves on the International and Cultural Committees while his wife serves on the Membership and Ambassadors committees.
Mr. Burr lives in Coral Gables with his wife and son, Robert.
