Sebastian Melendrez, affectionately referred to as "Don Sebastian" by his devoted team at the La Quemada Distillery in El Arenal, Jalisco, began his career as Master Distiller 22 years ago. Learning traditional styles from his mentors, he embarked on a quest of crafting the consistently highest quality tequila possible. Credited for the initial batches of el Jimador and Seleccion Suprema, he was handpicked by Don Hector Galindo, President of La Quemada, who shares
the same vision for the utmost quality and purity.
Tireless scientific research and development twinned with an incessant love and respect for mother earth has given birth to something very special in the elixir. This result manifested of Don Sebastian's dedication to and passion for excellence, is 4 Copas tequila. Voted by many as the worlds’ best, it is also the world's only certified organic tequila, attesting to its purity of spirit.
