Wayne Curtis

Wayne Curtis is the author of And a Bottle of Rum: A History of the New World in Ten Cocktails, published by Crown in 2006. As a freelance jounalist he's written about travel, history, cocktails, architecture and many other subjects for Atlantic Monthly, Preservation , American Heritage, Canadian Geographic, American Scholar , and the New York Times. In 2002 he was named Lowell Thomas Travel Journalist of the Year by the Society of American Travel Writers. He lives in New Orleans and Maine .
