Zack Romaya’s love affair with Tequila began 15 years ago.

In the late 90s, Zack rented out part of his building in Old Town San Diego to El Agave Restaurant and from there he began tasting several hundred brands of Tequila. Subsequently, his developed palate gave him the knowledge required to know what brands would sell best to his clientele.

His passion for Agave Spirits is apparent. Just walk into Old Town Liquor and ask him any question. You’ll find his knowledge knows no depths—you’ll find your thirst quenched—and you won’t even realize that 2 hours have passed!

Mr. Romaya now owns two liquor shops.
